Pay as You Play Sessions (Adult) with Richard Surtees Tuesday 10-11am £5 |
Our programme, led by Jonny Rudge, is designed to create opportunities for Special Needs schools and players with learning difficulties to get involved in tennis.
By working with Lesley Whitehead (West Bridgford Tennis Club, Nottingham) who has been involved in Learning Disability Tennis for a long time, we aim to create opportunities for everyone to play, and for those who show real talent go on to compete at the Special Olympics.
So far we've worked with Maplewell Hall School (Woodhouse Eaves, Leics) and Ashmount School (Loughborough, Leics) where we've met some great kids, had plenty of fun and unearther a few players with real potential and we are always looking for more school and groups to work with.
We've also managed to put on after school sessions for Maplewell Hall School to allow players to continue playing outside of our organised school time lessons.
If you know anyone schools or groups who would be interested in getting involved, please get in touch!
